Chemeketa Press launches new website

New branding project completed with Chemeketa alumni group, PUSH Collective

The new website contains a comprehensive list of all Chemeketa Press titles, a directory of how to submit new project ideas for textbooks, and a blog featuring Chemeketa Press authors and projects, as well as authors from the greater Willamette Valley. The site aims to help faculty seeking high-quality, low-cost alternatives to traditional textbooks by promoting the unique textbook development model that Chemeketa Press has pioneered.

“We are launching the new site with a mind to expand our reach to students and teachers beyond our own college,” said Brian Mosher, Marketing and Publicity Coordinator for Chemeketa Press. “We’ve seen our influence grow significantly as our textbooks are adopted at other Oregon schools, and this website helps faculty transition to our books. We hope to increase awareness of our brand, and welcome more and more faculty who want to impact their students’ experience in the classroom by using better, more affordable course materials.”

The new website was created by PUSH Collective, a business founded by a team of Chemeketa alumni. “Working with Chemeketa Press reminded me of what being a part of community college is all about,” said PUSH designer Jesus Arellano. “Through my time as a student, I was able to make connections that have helped me throughout my graphic design career.”

Local news outlet, Salem Reporter, published an article about the website. Read more here.
